Somali government has given details about Somali migrants who drowned in the Madagascar.

The African Union Ambassador to the Somali government, Abdullahi Warfaa, has given details about boats carrying more than 70 Somali migrants who have drowned in Madagascar.

Ambassador Abdullahi Haji Warfaa said that there were 70 people on these two boats, more than 28 Somalis died, while 48 were injured, who were rescued by fishermen from Madagascar.

Ambassador Warfaa added that the embassy is working on a plan to bring most of the displaced people back to the country.

He also sent his condolences to all the relatives of the Somalis who died, saying that the embassy is making efforts to find out where these people were taken from and where they were going.
