Somalia Defense Minister Ahmed Maalin Fiqi denies that the Somali government has deployed troops to the Sool and Sanag regions amids the crisis between Puntland and SSC Khatumo.
“We certify that the Federal Government did not deploy troops to the States of Sanag and Sool, and no reason is visible.” Said the minister.
He also sent a warning to individuals who are spreading the fake news that some have described as Puntland’s authorities.
”The people accusing the Federal Government of the issue have not shown any evidence except a clear accusation, it seems that they have lost the strength to stand against the will of the people of those areas.” he added.
