The Cabinet of Ministers of the Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia, which held its regular session today, approved the proposal of the Ministry of Internal Security to appoint the Chief of the Somali Police Force, who was appointed General Asad Osman Abdullahi.
General Asad Osman,is an officer with knowledge and experience in military affairs, who served as the Commander of the Puntland Security Force in PSF between 2007 and 2018.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Salah Ahmed Jama.
General Asad’s appointment is expected to bring renewed focus and energy to the force as it tackles ongoing security challenges.
