A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced the former head of security to 20 years in prison after being accused of corruption.
General Khalid Bin Qarar Al-Harbi was also fined a quarter of a million dollars and ordered to pay three and a half million dollars in bribes and forfeited property.
The former director of security, who held this position for nearly six years, was found guilty of forgery, bribery and abuse of private interests, also the court made this ,its final decision and cannot be appealed.
The Ministry of the Interior of Saudi Arabia stressed that the government will continue to fight corruption in various forms.
