The attacks RSF forces in Sudan have been confirmed to have killed hundreds of civilians, including children, in the White Nile region, according to Sudanese officials and human rights groups.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sudan said in a statement that the armed groups have targeted civilians in the past few days in villages in Al-Gitaina area, after they were shocked by the severe defeat they faced from the Sudanese army.
The statement said that the death toll was 433, while the preliminary committee of the Sudanese Medical Association put the number at 300.
The human rights group said in a statement on Tuesday that more than 200 people, including women and children, were killed in RSF attacks and hundreds more were injured in the past three days.
The attacks, which included murders, kidnappings, robberies, and shootings of those trying to escape, were described as horrific.
The Minister of Culture and Information, Khalid Ali Aleesir, said on his Facebook page that the latest attacks carried out by the RSF in the villages of Al-Kadaris and Al-Khalwat in the White Nile region are the latest in planned violence against civilians who cannot defend themselves.
