Puntland has ordered the return of the return of the arms that were taken off the Seaworld ship, after it was seized in the Bareeda district of the Ras-e-Asayr region, as ordered by the regional prosecutor.
According to the official statement sent by the prosecutor to the regional police command, the ship, which belongs to the Comoros, was carrying weapons that were partially seized by civilians in the Bareeda and Caluula districts.
Puntland has also begun investigations and statistics regarding weapons on the Sea World ship currently docked at the port of Bosaso and is set to release a report soon with all the information about the ship.
Also Puntland government has called on international community to restore on weapons sanction on Somalia, so that weapons do not fall into the hands of terrorist groups as it can not take responsibility.
