The Puntland Government House of Representatives has officially abolished the membership of the council today and the former position of Abdirashid Yusuf Jibril, former Governor of the Puntland Parliament, who is now part of a conference in Las Anod, the province of Sool.
At least 38 MP voted him out of Cabinian MP as announced by the chairman of the meeting.
Abdirashid said he was working on the construction of the SSC Khatumo administration, especially Sool, Sanag and Ceyn to become a regional government.
Some reports indicate that this decision is part of Puntland’s efforts to strengthen parliamentary control, and eliminate members who are considered to support ideas against Puntland unity.
