Puntland condemned yesterday’s war in Dahar district of Sanag, accusing the federal government of Somalia in envolving of “violent, social and unstable” in Puntland region.
”We also, in the most difficult way, condemn President Hassan Sheikh government for organizing armed militias this afternoon in Dahar district , resulting in life-threatening deaths and injuries ”, said a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior in Puntland.
On the other said the Federal government issued a statement calling on for peace in the region.
“We call on the parties involved in the violence to stop, as well as the local community and call for peace and stability ”, the government press release said.

“The Department, respectfully requests Cultural Diversity, Violence and Intelligence to stand up for the control and end of the Dahar Crisis and prevent such events as ”, added the statement.
“The Department calls on President Puntland to stop acts that fuel the collide and repatriate the Army sent from the Qardho district which, intended to combat the terrorist, but unfortunately turned to other useless interests. ”, said in a letter issued by the government.
