Mogadishu, Monday, 30 June 2025: — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Hamse Abdi Barre, who laid the foundation stone for the Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy.
The Minister noted that this Ministry is one of the most important in the goal of developing our country’s economy, as many of our country’s resources come from the sea.
“The Blue Economy is an important one that Somalis want to benefit from, and it is where a prosperous Somalia will begin, with the production of marine products and the abundant resources of its land,” said Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre.
He also urged the Somalis to settle in the coastal areas, as the government will implement major roads that will facilitate the use of marine resources and the exploitation of our country’s blue economy.
