Kenya and Germany have reached an agreement on immigration which is set to be signed this afternoon in Berlin.

The agreement is intended to make it easier for skilled Kenyan workers to find work in Germany, especially in the health sector and also facilitates the repatriation of Kenyans who are in Germany without legal permission.

About fifteen thousand Kenyans are currently living in Germany – eight hundred of them are said to have no right to remain there.
