US President Donald Trump has added Somalia to his ‘draft list’ of countries whose citizens are banned from traveling to the United States.
Trump’s proposed travel ban on 43 Muslim-majority countries aims to reduce or stop people from entering the United States.
It is worth noting that the list of countries banned from the United States was seven during President Trump’s previous administration, but five more countries have been added this year, according to the New York Times.
The list of countries banned from traveling to the United States includes, Somalia ,Libya ,Cuba,Iran,Sudan , North Korea, Afghanistan,Syria,Yemen, venezuela and Bhutan.
Among these countries, anyone holding their passport will not be allowed to obtain a US Visa under any circumstances.
This issue is affecting Somalis who are trying to travel to the country, especially those who want to start a new life.
