Mogadishu, 17 May 2025 – The President of SSC-Khaatumo State, Mr. Abdikadir Ahmed Aw-Cali, paid an official visit to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Mogadishu, where he held a productive meeting with H.E. Ambassador Wang Y.
The President and the Ambassador held in-depth discussions on the longstanding and strategic relationship between Somalia and China. Ambassador Wang reaffirmed China’s readiness to implement major development projects in line with bilateral agreements signed between the two nations, as well as the outcomes of the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
He further noted that such agreements would facilitate the rollout of impactful development programs across Somalia.
President Abdikadir thanked Ambassador Wang for the warm reception at the Chinese Embassy and for China’s continued commitment to supporting Somalia’s state-building and development efforts.
