The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has received the Special Envoy of the Chinese government, the representative of the Horn of Africa, Mr. Xue Bing, who is on an official visit to the country.
President Hassan Sheikh and Ambassador Xue Bing discussed strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of security, economy, politics, diplomacy, trade and education to promote the common interests of Somalia and China.
The president shared with the ambassador the progress achieved in our country and the investment opportunities that can be shared between Somalia and China, and he noted that Somalia is ready to deal with the challenges and opportunities that may come from the regional and international level.
On his part, Ambassador Xue Bing thanked the leaders and people of Somalia for the warm welcome they extended to him and his delegation, and praised the achievements of the Federal Government in security, fighting terrorism and ensuring peace and development in the Horn of Africa, based on good neighborliness, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence in the countries of the Region.
