The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, participated in the East African Community (EAC) High Level Forum in Arusha, Tanzania, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the EAC.
The conference focused on the different stages that EAC has gone through, the achievements, and the future goals of the organization.
President Hassan Sheikh who gave a speech at this forum highlighted the importance of strengthening the cooperation of the member states of the organization in order to face common challenges, promote peace and stability, and take advantage of the vast opportunities and capabilities of the region.
He also stressed the importance of sustainable economic growth and creating a bright future for all the peoples of East Africa.
Somalia is one of the most important countries in this organization, and it is the last country to join, which lead to a special impact in the organization also there are countries that want to join.
