The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Hamsa Abdi Barre, had a meeting with Molly Phee, the US Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, in New York.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister and the Assistant discussed the strengthening of relations between the two countries, how to cooperate in the fight against terrorism, the security of the Horn of Africa region and the way in which the two countries of Somalia and the United States could work together in the United Nations Security Council in Somalia and will take it membership in the new year.
Also Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre is expected to speak at the meeting about the general situation in Somalia.
