The Prime Minister of Somalia, Mr. Hamza Abdi Barre, who is currently in New York City, had a special meeting with the Special Envoy of the European Union for the Horn of Africa, Annette Weber.
The Prime Minister and the representative of the European Union discussed the strengthening of relations and cooperation between the EU and Somalia, especially in the areas of economic development, security and politics.
They also discussed the current challenges between Somalia and Ethiopia as a result of the maritime agreement signed by Abiy Ahmed with the administration of Somaliland.
They both agreed to work together on security and peace in the Horn of Africa region
