People died in last night’s heavy rains in Mogadishu, as roads were destroyed.

Last night, Mogadishu experienced unprecedented rainfall, causing flooding that caused loss of life and property.

Two people have reportedly died in last night’s heavy rain in Mogadishu, after flooding swept through their homes in Banadir areas.

Some of the families were left homeless after the rain collapse their homes , while some homes were submerged in water overnight.

Also some of the roads have been severely damaged, including the Soobe and Banadir intersections and other roads, with water settled in some of the roads in Mogadishu, and the public is finding it difficult to navigate the flooded roads.

Also Aden Adde Airport is one of the areas where water is sitting, which has affected the airport’s operations.
