-At least 164 people have died in the past 24 hours in floods and 30 houses have been destroyed by the heavy rains that have hit Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
Also a helicopter carrying out a rescue operation crashed during the operation, killing all five crew members on board.
Nine more people died in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, while five others died in the northern region of Gilgit-Baltistan, the government said.
The government’s weather department said heavy rains were expected until August 21, and a severe weather warning was issued for the northwest of the country.
Some of the regions have been declared disaster zones.
