President Joe Biden on Friday praised the cooperation between the governments of the United States, South Korea and Japan, to counter what Biden described as a dangerous and destabilizing partnership between North Korea and Russia.
The President made this statement at a meeting he held on Friday in Peru with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
These officials are in Peru to participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit. And yesterday’s talks come at a time of heightened concern over growing military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.
Biden’s meeting with the leaders of Japan and South Korea will be his last, before he vacates the White House office for the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump.
