Mogadishu, November 3, 2025 – The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), in coordination with international partners, carried out a planned operation yesterday in Ceel-weyne village, located in the Ceel-baraf area of Mahadaay district, Middle Shabelle region.
The operation targeted a gathering of Al Shabab militants, resulting in the elimination of 23 individuals, including both commanders and fighters.
Authorities confirmed that the group had recently assembled in the area to plan and coordinate attacks aimed at destabilizing regional security. Notably, a similar operation on October 30, 2025, had already delivered a significant blow to the militants in the same area.
Officials emphasized that no civilian casualties occurred during the latest operation.
