The president of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi said while giving a public speech that they are ready to implement and sign the maritime agreement they reached with Ethiopia,also that they want recognition, and they are going everywhere to get it if he will be re-elected.
”This agreement depends a lot on us, Ethiopia is an important country and everyone is interested in having a relationship with it , it is also important for this agreement that we get recognition” said the President of Somaliland.
Muse Bihi’s statement comes at a time when Ethiopia’s agreement on the sea has caused a strong controversy and the Somali community should oppose it, as it is against the independence of the country.
The Federal Government of Somalia harshly proposed about Abiy’s agreement with Muse Bihi, and described it as a violation of Somalia’s territorial sovereignty.
