At least 100 people have died from cholera in the past two weeks since an outbreak of the water-borne disease broke out in Sudan’s White Nile region, the aid group Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said.

According to the agency, the situation in the region has been made worse by the power outages that have affected many people and the non-functioning water pipes and wells.

According to reports, the people living in the region have therefore been forced to rely on water transported by donkey carts, which has led to poor health and hygiene.

More than 2,000 people have been infected with cholera since February 20, and 92 people have died so far.

Sudan has been at war for almost two years after clashes between the Sudanese army and the opposition RSF, which began in the capital Khartoum and spread across the country.
