The widespread forest fire seems to be destroying parts of the city of Los Angeles, which has caused considerable damage.

It was the worst fire in the city’s history, destroying more than 31,000 acres (12,500 hectares) of land and forcing hundreds of thousands of people to flee while hundreds of buildings have been destroyed.

The governor of California, Newsom told NBC News that this fire appears to be the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States, in terms of property damage.

AccuWeather, a private meteorological agency, estimated the property damage caused by this fire to Los Angeles for a week, amounting to $135 to $150 billion dollars.
