Reports from Doolow district in Gedo region indicate that Ethiopian forces accompanying Jubbaland administration forces attacked a Somali security force camp in the district last night.
The fighting resulted in casualties, with both sides exchanging gunfire and artillery fire as Ethiopian forces were able to enter the NISA military compound, burning military equipment stored there.
Also, military officers were injured in the attack, although there is no official number of casualties.
These clashes have greatly surprised the people living in the Gedo region, with fears that the fighting will spread further if it is not resolved quickly.
The Somali government has not yet commented on the Doolow battle and the situation in the city.
