The security forces of Jubbaland carried out an operation last night in Kismayo city and prevented an explosive attack that was intended to be carried out in the city.
In a statement from Jubbaland, it was said that the army was informed of the mine explosion, and then they failed, so as not to harm the civilians.
“The forces of Jubbaland’s security and intelligence agencies succeeded in defeating a land mine that the terrorists wanted to target the people of Kismayo,” the statement said.
It was also added that “the picture of the mine below was captured by the army tonight in the Farjanno neighborhood of Kismayo city after the people of that neighborhood informed the security agencies.”
