The President of Jubbaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Ahmed Madoobe), has arrived in Garowe, where he will special meeting with the President of Puntland State, Said Abdullahi Deni ,today to discuss the political conflict in the country.
The leaders will focus particular on the amendments made by the Somali presidency to the country’s constitution and the 2026 election controversy.
The Puntland and Jubbaland administrations were absent from the latest sessions of the National Consultative Council, reflecting a growing disagreement with the Federal Government.
Their meeting is expected to produce decisions on the country’s political conflict, at a time another session of the National Consultative Council is expected to be convened soon.
