BAY, SOMALIA – In a joint and well-coordinated operation, the Somali National Army’s 60th Division, alongside the South West State Darawiish forces, conducted a planned military operation in several villages near the Daynuunay area in the Bay region.
During the operation, key hideouts and positions belonging to the Al-Shabaab militants were destroyed. These locations were believed to have been used as staging grounds for attacks and other destabilizing activities in the region.
Military officials stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to pursue and eliminate terrorist elements, aiming to fully liberate areas still under militant influence in the Bay region.
