James Swan the acting UN envoy to Somalia , who left Mogadishu this morning, was welcomed in Kismayo, where he is currently having critical meetings with Ahmed Madobe.
They will discuss the political situation and the issues that caused no result from the meeting of the National Consultation Forum, which the Prime Minister said is still going on, but last week the President of Juba land withdrew and left Mogadishu, after several issues related to the progress of the meeting could not be agreed upon.
The main purpose of the visit of the UN representative is to find a lasting solution to the issues of the elections, and to welcome Jubba land and the federal government together.
James Swan, who was nominated for the second time in Somalia, is remembered for the role he played in the 2022 elections which was finally overcome.
