Hamas is releasing 3 Israeli detainees on Saturday in exchange for 183 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, and this is the fifth time this exchange has been carried out since the cease-fire was reached in Gaza.
The exchange comes at a time when there is an uproar in the region due to the proposal from US President Donald Trump to clear the Gaza Strip of its inhabitants and for the US to seize Palestinian land.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed to AFP on Friday that they have received a list of hostages to be released from Gaza after Hamas published three names of prisoners to be released.
The three men scheduled to be released on Saturday are Eli Sharabi, Or Levy and Ohad Ben Ami, according to Hamas. Their names were confirmed by Netanyahu’s office.
