Prime Minister of Somalia, His Excellency Hamsa Abdi Barre, inaugurated the secondary Certificate Examination, which officially opened in the country today, Saturday.
A total of 39,397 students sat for the examination which includes boys and girls.
Security forces are fully guarding the exam sites, with all movement outside the exam centers suspended during the period.
The Ministry of Education has also called on parents, teachers, and the community to stand by the students and encourage them to complete the exam peacefully.
