The President of the Supreme Court of the country, Mr. Baashe Yusuf Ahmed, today received in his office a senior delegation from the Ministry of Justice and Judiciary of Egypt , where they discussed how the two countries could cooperate in the fields of training, exchange of experiences and the modernization of the judiciary.
The meeting was attended by the chairman of the Court of Appeal of Banadir region, the chairman of the Banadir regional court and other officials of the judicial bodies of the country.
Governor Baashe pointed out that Somalia and Egypt have a deep relationship and long-standing cooperation, so they are committed to cooperating in the development and the effective judicial system on both sides, while they will regularly exchange training and experiences.
For their part, the officials of the judicial institutions in Egypt, expressed their gratitude for the valuable reception given to them during their stay in the country, acknowledging that the judicial institutions of Somalia have made significant progress, and that they are ready to work closely together in the development and modernization of justice and the judiciary in both countries.
