More details are emerging from the damage caused by a heavy attack by Al-Shabaab early this morning in the Balcad district of the Middle Shabelle region, which was followed by a direct fight.
The attack started around 5:00 in the morning, and the Al-Shabaab militias targeted the military positions, and then the war broke out.
Reports say that the attackers managed to enter some parts of the district, and it was reported that they went to the Balcad station and released a number of prisoners who were held there.
Locals in the district report that the situation is tense and they feel fear because the fighting is intense.
Until now, the damage caused by the war is not really known, since it is still going on, Balcad District is 30 km away from Mogadishu.
Recently , the Middle Shabelle region has been concentrated by the Khawarij who have carried out heavy attacks in the last two weeks in areas of that region.
