French President Emmanuel Macron started his official visit to Djibouti last night after arriving in the capital of the Republic of Djibouti.
The delegation led by French President Macron was welcomed at Djibouti Airport by Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh.
President Emmanuel Macron and his delegation will visit Djibouti for two days and the country’s leaders will discuss the conflicts in Somalia and Sudan.
The French President will also fly to Addis Ababa where he will meet with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
France is looking for support from countries in the Horn of Africa after the deterioration of its relations with the former colonial countries in the west of the African continent.
