The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), has officially banned four members of the Council of Ministers from participating in parliamentary sessions due to security concerns.
The banned cabinet members are:
1. MP Mohamed Abdulqadir Haji (Jeego) – Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation.
2. MP Omar Ali Abdi – State Minister for Defence.
3. MP Isaaq Mohamed Mursal – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
4. MP Mohamed Osman Omar – State Minister for Family Affairs.
The Speaker has also requested the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Welfare, Discipline, and Immunity of the House to provide recommendations and propose appropriate legal actions in accordance with the parliamentary rules.
