Former Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid, former Speakers of Parliament Sharif Hassan and Mohamed Mursal, and former Minister of Information Dahir Guelleh announced tonight that they have resigned from the Salvation Forum.
The members have been holding meetings recently among themselves to discuss how to form a united political organization to form a new political movement.
These officials announced their decision at a meeting of the Forum members, stating that they are moving towards the establishment of official political parties.
The resignation comes at a time the Independent National Electoral Commission announced today that it has reopened political party and voter registration for a two-week period.
