Reports from Mudug state that Puntland authorities, with the help of the elders and intellectuals of the region, have succeeded in pacifying communities that have been fighting in the past in Harfo district of Mudug state.
The tribal war that took place in Harfo has caused heavy casualties, but the Puntland administration has taken urgent measures to stop the bloodshed and destruction caused by the conflict.
The Puntland administration has officially imposed a curfew on the affected districts, and a neutral committee has been appointed to resolve the situation and prevent the war from continuing.
This committee is working to control the conflict between the two sides, while the elders, regional authorities and security officials are working together for peace and to end the conflict.
Also, the Minister of Interior of Puntland, Abdi Farah Juhaa, is one of the highest officials in Harfo. The official number of casualties has not been announced, although there are reports that the local residents have suffered significant losses.
The Puntland administration has also urged the affected communities to work on a lasting solution and understanding to end the crisis.
