Dhusamareb, Somalia — A delegation led by the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdullahi Bidhaan Warsame, arrived today in Dhusamareb.
The delegation is in Dhusamareb to participate in the Federal–Member State Coordination Conference on Energy and Water Resources, which aims to strengthen institutional cooperation, unify the national strategic vision, and align ongoing and planned projects in the energy and water sectors.
The delegation received a high-level welcome upon arrival in the city and was officially received at the Galmudug State Presidency by the Deputy President of Galmudug, Ali Dahir Eid.
The conference, which is set to officially open in Dhusamareb in the coming days, is expected to play a significant role in improving and upgrading energy and water services across the country. Discussions will focus on establishing a coordinated framework based on data sharing, accountability, and project alignment, with the goal of delivering sustainable, reliable, and equitable energy and water services to all Somali communities.
