The Minister of the Interior of Germany, Nancy Faeser, has announced that the applications for asylum seekers from Syria have been suspended.

Germany is one of the countries where the most Syrians have applied for asylum. Only in 2015, it received 1 million Syrians, but in the past, discussions have started to return Syrians.

These European countries issued these decisions, a day after the overthrow of Bashar Al-Assad’s regime, which caused tens of millions of Syrians to flee their country, following the civil war that has been going on in the country since 2011.
