Somalia and Ethiopia have reached an agreement that Ethiopian forces will be part of the new AUSSOM mission.
This issue came after a visit by the Ethiopian Military Commander, Birhanu Jula and the country’s Intelligence Director, Ridwan Hussein, who arrived in Mogadishu yesterday and met with the Commander of the Armed Forces, Gen. Odowa and the Director of NISA, Abdullahi Sanbaloshe.
The two sides also agreed to speed up previous military agreements, security cooperation between the two countries and the region as a whole.
The migration of the Ethiopian command comes at a time when the leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia want to transfer the Ethiopian army from the bordering regions of the country, after the tension between the two sides.
