The Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed, expected to visit Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, in the next few hours, while arrangements are currently being made to welcome him according to official sources.
An introductory delegation from Addis Ababa has also arrived in Mogadishu, which has now started serious activities.
When Abiy arrives, he will hold meetings with senior officials of the federal government, especially President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, where they will discuss sensitive issues related to the relationship between the two countries and the agreement they reached recently.
The leaders of the two countries will continue their discussions regarding the Ankara agreement that ended the sea crisis, and now Ethiopia’s plan is to get a waterway through the federal government of Somalia.
Somalia and Ethiopia are currently doing extensive cooperation, which opens a new page for both countries, and Ethiopia has also been approved for the AUSSOM mission.
