Doolow district security commander Shiikhalow and about 20 soldiers with him landed at Aden Adde airport in Mogadishu yesterday, after Ethiopian forces in Gedo ordered them to immediately leave Doolow town.
This officer and the soldiers who came with him were the ones who fought for many hours in Doolow the night before against the pro-Jubaland forces led by the Governor of Doolow Lafee and soldiers from the Ethiopian army in that city.
The deportation of this officer and his soldiers from Doolow came after a discussion between local elders and Ethiopian army officers who had taken them as hostages to the NISA army, and made their release conditional on their complete departure from Doolow district.
