The former president of the United States survived another assassination attempt on Sunday afternoon while he was at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The Secret Service said they saw a gunman hiding in a tree near where Trump was playing golf, and opened fire on him before he fled.The security officials said that the suspect left the scene with an assault rifle and other tools before fleeing in his car. Officials also said Trump was not injured.
It is the second attempt to kill the former president of the United States, Donald Trump, which has been thwarted by the security forces in a period of 9 week.
Police said the suspect was caught on road I-95 about 65 miles from Donald Trump’s golf course. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office in Florida said they arrested the guman.
The first attempt to get rid of Trump took place on July 13, after a young man who was later killed by the security forces shot Trump from above and then hit his ear. The attack was recorded by US television cameras that were broadcasting a speech by Trump to his supporters in the state of Pennsylvania.
The FBI said it has launched an investigation into the second attempt to get rid of Donald Trump.
