Reports indicated about a suicide bombing that occurred recently in the town of Moqokori in the Hiiran region, according to Witnesses the explosion was a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device, targeting a location where soldiers and civilians were present.
The situation at the scene remains tense, and emergency relief efforts are currently underway to provide assistance to the victims, as the explosion occurred recently.
The casualties from the explosion, is still unknown as the as the operation and rescue efforts by the army are ongoing.
Moqokori district which is an important base for the Somali National Army and the local militias, where a serious operation against Al Shabab has been underway for some time,to liberate the district.
