Report emerging from Baled Hawa that a number of shells have hit civilian homes as well as the UK camp where Somali government forces are stationed.
Various casualties have been caused by the fighting, although their extent is not yet known as civilians are being displaced from the town of , reaching Baled Hawa areas including Mandera town.
The Somali Federal Government forces are at the UK camp, while those from Jubbaland are still in the town of Balad-Hawo.
The Federal Government and the Jubbaland administration have previously accused each other of inciting war, further complicating the resolution of the conflict in the Gedo region.
