An American girl of Turkish origin who was recently killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank while she was participating in a rally in support of the freedom of Palestine was buried in her home district in Turkey on Saturday.
Thousands of people gathered in the streets as anti-Israel sentiment in Turkey increased, as a result of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, a 26-year-old resident of Seattle, was shot dead by Israeli forces on September 6 during a protest against Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

Ayshenur was buried in the district of Didim, which is one of the tropical cities of the Aegean Sea between Turkey and Greece. The Turkish flag was draped over the coffin that carried her body, as many emotional people attended her burial.
The governments of Turkey and the United States have condemned her murder and called for an investigation.
