On Saturday, the Burundi’s military forces, which are part of the AUSSOM mission of the African Union, contingent from Jowhar Airfield Sector 5 HQ held a successful security & reassurance patrol along the Jowhar Airfield-Jowhar Town road.
Led by Sector 5 Commander Col. Oscar Hatungimana, the mission assessed security and reassured residents of their safety, enabling free movement of people and goods.
he Burundian forces are working with the Federal Army and Hir-Shabelle Regional Government forces, in areas of the Middle Shabelle region and they are working with them at times.
