About 80 soldiers from the Jubbaland Army have joined the activities of the armed forces in Ras Kambooni area of the Lower Jubba region.
The armed forces that arrived in the area yesterday will take over the positions of the African Union Peacekeeping Forces (ATMIS), while on the other hand they will continue the mission to liberate Al Shabab in the country.
The Commander of the 18th Brigade of the GorGor Commando Force of the Somali National Army, General Hassan Adan Mohamed (Hasan Iraqi), who spoke to the army that joined from Jubbaland administration, urged them to fully participate in the war against Al Shabab.
This issue is at the root of the tension between the federal government and Jubbaland which resulted from the re-election of Ahmed Madobe who was elected for the third time in Jubbaland.
However, the central government is now using a military strategy to end the administration of Ahmed Madobe, and they have deployed many troops to the Badhadhe area of Lower Jubba region and the towns of Garbaharey and Beledhawo in Gedo region.
