The Somali National Army and local Army achieved another major victory this morning in their fight against Al Shabab , after the militias attempted to attack military positions in Hawo Abdi areas located on the main road connecting the cities of Mogadishu and Afgooye.
Residents say the fighting erupted after morning prayers, with both sides using different types of weapons, where Al Shabab were badly defeated and killed in large numbers.
Meanwhile, a statement released by the Somali National Army (SNA) said that the forces prevented the attack in Awdhiigle district in Lower Shabelle region and all the militias present there were killed, which is another defeat for the Al Shabab groups.
The situation is currently calm, and security forces have been deployed to confront the areas where Al-Shabaab was seen this morning.
The ongoing operations in the Lower and Middle Shabelle regions are part of the fierce battle against Al Shabab , and it is expected that the forces will continue to achieve successes in this war.
