Earlier this morning a heavy fight started in Ceel Gorof area, located between the towns of Wabxo and Mahaas between Hiran regional forces supported by the Somali National Army and Al-Shabaab militants.
The fight started after Al-Shabaab launched attacks from several directions on positions of government and local forces according to some Witnesses who spoked with RNN Somali Tv.
The joint forces of Hiran regional forces and Somali National Army have prevented the the attack, and face to face fighting is ongoing, causing casualties and injuries that cannot yet be officially confirmed.
