The National Consultative Council meeting led by President Hassan Sheikh and was attended by the leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia and the heads of state, was recently kickoff ,at the Somali presidential palace.
The meeting which was led by the President contains the Leaders of Galmudug, Hirshable,SSC Khatumo,Banadir, and South west states.
The meeting is expected to focus on issues important to the country’s political and security future, such as constitutional review, national elections, and strengthening relations and cooperation between the federal government and state governments.
As expected the leaders of Jubaland and Puntland will be not participating due to the current political misunderstanding they have with federal government.
The Conference is which is going to last for several days as leaders are expected to issue a statement from their meeting.
